The Dead Church That Seems Alive

“…I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead”  Revelation 3:1c-2 NKJV

Lessons from the book of Revelation Chapter 3- Poem 1

To the Angel of Church in Sardis

Revelation 3:1-6

Unto the angel of the church in Sardis
These things says He that has the seven stars
I know your works, and found them as not perfect
Your works- they are not perfect before God

You have a name- like you’re the church that lives!
But you are dead and life you do not have
Be watchful, strengthen things that are remaining
The things that too are ready to just die

Remember what you have received and heard
Hold fast those things, repent, repent, turn back
If not, I will upon you come like thief
And you won’t know what hour to you I’ll come

But there are few in Sardis that are Mine
Their garments they defiled not at all
With Me they shall there walk in robes of white
For they are worthy and with Me they’ll be

And He that overcomes the same shall be
In white garment clothed, in robes of white
His name shall be in book of life forever
And I’ll confess his name before My Father

He that has ear- let him hear and listen
What Spirit unto churches now still says
Don’t close your ears to hearing God’s own Word
Examine your own self, repent, turn back

“For My people have committed two evils; they have forsaken Me the fountain of living waters, and hewed [cut out, made] them out cisterns [a tank for water storage], broken cisterns, that can hold no water” Jeremiah 2:13

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life” John 4:14

“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely” Revelation 22:17

“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” James 2:26

He that hath the Son hath life. He that hath not the Son hath not life.” John 5:12

  • Religion and spirituality makes it seem like there is life- but life is only in Christ and not in religion or spirituality.
  • Many people have forsaken Christ for religion, tradition, knowledge, philosophy, and comfort. They have a form of godliness, they go to church, read the Bible, pray, but no life of Christ in them, no power.
  • Jesus is the fountain of living waters. To whosoever will, He gives water of life freely.
  • Thank you Jesus for the water of life that You gave freely to me, that gave me everlasting life.
  • I have life because I have Jesus. He that does not have Christ does not have life.
  • The life of Christ in me and my faith in Him will produce works; saying that I have faith and not having any works means that my faith is dead.

Good Works Mixed With Sexual Sin

Lessons from the book of Revelation Chapter 2- Poem 6

Unto Angel of Church in Thyatira

Revelation 2:18-29

And unto angel of the church in Thyatira
These things says He whose eyes, -like flame of fire
I know your works, and charity, and service
I know your faith, your patience, and your works

I know your works; and last works, they are better
I know they’re better than the first works were
And it just seemed this church was just so good
Full of great works and service, patience, faith!

Yet God them warned: “I have few things against thee”
You fornication tolerate among you
You have allowed sexual sins and idols
To be in midst of you- to sin against Me

And I have given you time to repent
But you repented not from this great sin
Into great tribulation I will cast you
If you repent not of this great great sin

I search the hearts of people; know all things
And unto everyone of you will give
I will according to your works give you
Repent and hear what Spirit tells the churches

***
This church into great tribulation will be cast
This church that does much good, has faith, and patience
This church, did tolerate sexual sin and idols
And all good works- defiled are by their sin

And this to us- it is a good reminder
If we serve much, have faith, and do much good
Yet if in midst of church we allow sin
Sin of adultery, idols, fornication

God will be grieved; He will displeased be greatly
And He will give you time to repent
But if you still repent not of you sin
You will face judgement from the hand of God

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created” Revelation 4:11

“Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not!
Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “THE TWO,” He says, “SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH.”
But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
Flee sexual immorality {Fornication, sexual sin}. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” 1 Corinthians 6:15-20 NKJV

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us” 2 Corinthians 4:7

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption” Ephesians 4:30

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service”  Romans 12:1

  • I am not my own, I was created for God’s pleasure.  God has all authority to tell me what I can and can’t do with my body.
  • My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost- who is in me, and I am not my own
  • My body is not my own for it was bought with a price
  • My body is the member of Christ and I am in Christ
  • I am joined together with Christ, and am one spirit with Him
  • I have this treasure in the earthen vessel- Christ in me and I must not defile my body with sexual sins or anything else
  • I present my body to God- holy and acceptable unto God for that is my most reasonable service
  • I was bought with a price and glorify God in my body and in my spirit, which are God’s
  • I was bought with a high price- the Blood of Jesus, and in me now is the Treasure I do not deserve; my most reasonable service is to present my body unto God, holy and acceptable and not defile it or give it away to lust, sexual sins, or anything else that will dishonor God’s Name.
  • Thank you Jesus for washing all my sin away and for not holding my past sinful thoughts or acts against me
  • I flee fornication and avoid sexual sin at all cost. Thank You that I can do all things through Christ and I can and will flee fornication and avoid sexual sin.

The Church That Compromised

Lessons from the book of Revelation Chapter 2- Poem 5

To the Church in Pergamos

Revelation 2:12-17

And to the angel of the church in Pergamos;
These things says He who has two edged sword:
I know your works- the place where you do dwell
That place where Satan’s seat is- his throne room

You dwell where Satan’s seat is, yet you firmly
Hold to My Name, My faith you denied not
Antipas was there slain, My faithful martyr
He died where Satan dwells- when God allowed

But though you to My Name hold- you are “Christian”
Few things I have against you still you see
In midst of you are those who hold the doctrine
A doctrine that I hate and approve not

In midst of you are those who’re compromisers
A worldly church you have become, you see
You to My Name hold- yet you are so worldly
And you allow the sin that I do hate

You have allowed in your midst worldly ways
Sexual sin you have allowed to stay
Sexual sin among you, fornication
You have allowed, you tolerated it too

Repent, or else I will to you come quickly
And I will fight with sword of My Own mouth
He that has ear- let him hear the Spirit
What He does say unto the churches now

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever”  1 John 2:15-17

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earthFor ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection [lustful passion], evil concupiscence [desire for what is forbidden], and covetousness, which is idolatry:  For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience” Colossians 3:2-6

“And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” Luke 9:23

  • If I love the world, the love of the Father is not in me. I cannot love both God and the things of the world
  • I am dead. I am dead to the lust of the flesh, I am dead to the lust of the eyes, I am dead to the pride of life.
  • My life is hid in Christ and Christ in me is not tempted with lust of the flesh, eyes and pride.
  • If I sin- it is because I did not renew my mind and I did not deny myself and did not see my self as dead to every sin.
  • I choose to follow Jesus, therefore, I deny myself of anything my body wants that dishonors God’s Name. I deny myself what my flesh, my eyes, and my pride wants; I deny myself anything that does not honor God and is outside of His will.
  • I set my affection on things above, and not on the things on the earth.
  • Christ is my life, what I have in Him is much better than what the world or my flesh can offer me.  I will appear with Him in glory!

Do Not Fear Sufferings

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life” Revelation 2:10

Lessons from Revelation Chapter 2- Poem 4

To the Church in Smyrna:

Revelation 2:8-11

And to the Angel of the church in Smyrna
These things says He who dead was, but now lives...
He knows their works, their tribulation- sorrow
Each detail of their sorrow God does know

He knows the poverty and all the hardships in it
Yet they are rich- much richer than they see
For their great treasure is not gold or silver
But it is Christ- their faith and love of Him

Fear not those things, those things that you will suffer
The devil will to prison send you, try you
But do not fear this suffering, fear not
Your tribulation will not last forever

And if you read too quickly, you'll this miss:
He did not say fear not for you won’t suffer
He did not say fear not, I’ll prevent suffering
He said fear not those things that you shall suffer

Be faithful unto death, be faithful always
A crown of life in glory you’ll receive
And He that overcomes shall never ever
Be hurt of second death, but live forever!

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” John 15:33

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets” Luke 6:22-23

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”

Romans 8:35-39

“But thanks be unto God, who always leadeth us in triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest through us the savor of His knowledge in every place”  2 Corinthians 2:14 ASV

  • Thank You Jesus that in You, I have peace even in midst of tribulation!
  • Thank You Jesus that You overcame the world! I overcome the world through You.
  • In the world I will have tribulation. Thank You Jesus that You will never forsake me. Thank You that You are always with me. Thank You God that You are for me and not against me. Teach me how to always be of good cheer, even in midst of tribulation, because You Jesus overcame the world.
  • Thank You that I am blessed if people will hate me, separate me from their company, criticize me, and ruin my name because I chose and choose to follow Jesus.
  • Thank You Jesus, that NOTHING will separate me from the love of Christ. Tribulation, distress, persecution, famine or anything else, will NOT separate us from the LOVE OF CHRIST!
  • Thank You that I am MORE than Conqueror through HIM that loved me- Not because of something I have done, but because of the love of Christ, and what HE did.
  • Thank You Lord that You ALWAYS cause me to triumph in Christ. I triumph in Christ even in midst of persecution.

Did You Leave Your First Love?

Lessons from Revelation Chapter 2- Poem 3

Unto the Church in Ephesus

Revelation  2:1-7

I know your works, your labor, and your patience
And how you cannot bear those who are evil
And for My Name’s sake you have much labored
And have not fainted, and you patience have

This church- it hated things that God does hate
And tolerated not the sin among them
It seemed so good, with purity in doctrine
The one that suffered, labored much for God

Nevertheless- as good as this church was
Christ had against it something that was great
They did not love God as they once have loved
For they their first love left; their love grew cold

And all their labor, service, and pure doctrine-
It seemed that they were doing the right things
But they no longer loved the Lord Christ Jesus
And Christ desires love, not just cold service

***

One thing is needful, Jesus said, one thing
It is to be at feet of Jesus, love Him
To seek His kingdom, speak to Him, and listen
To worship Him, to treasure Him, to love Him

Doing a lot of things for God and serve Him
Defending truth, exposing the false doctrine
Those things so easily can us distract
From simple love for Christ that we must have

We are so prone to do and do and do
To expose error in some other doctrine
And we think that our works Christ will just love
But He wants love- our fervent love for Him

***

To love the Lord- means daily we must stop
And put aside the things that us distract
And seek His face, His presence, worship Him
But it’s much easier to serve, get busy

To love the Lord, means to deny oneself
Not love the world or the things in it
But to love Christ, while taking up our cross
And follow Him, His footsteps and His ways

To love the Lord- means to obey Him too
Obey His ways and follow His commandments
To love Him more each day in love to grow
And seek His face, not just His hands of blessings

To love the Lord- means to devoted be
Devoted to Christ Jesus, not just service
To do all things as unto Jesus Christ
And worship Him alone and praise Him always

To love the Lord- means simply Him adore
Adore Him, be with Him, and know Him
To not neglect our time at His feet
To walk with Him and worship Him and praise

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent” Revelation 2:4-5

“If ye love Me, keep My commandments” John 14:15

“And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard His word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to Him, and said, Lord, dost Thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her” Luke 10:39-42

“We love him, because He first loved us” 1 John 4:19

  • Thank You Father, for reminding me that relationship with You, and my love for You is more important than service for You.
  • I love You because You first loved me.
  • If I do a lot of good works for You Jesus, but neglect the fellowship with You I will neglect the one thing that is truly needful- to be with You. Help me to never neglect fellowship with You. Teach me how to minister to You and adore You more and more everyday.
  • I love Christ, and because I love Him I keep His commandments. Help me to always keep Your commandments.
  • If I love God, I will abide in Him and if I abide in Him, I will bring much fruit, for without Him I can do nothing that is of eternal value.

God Wants Your Presence

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love” Revelation 2:4

Revelation 2:1-7

Lessons from Revelation Chapter 2- Poem 2

God is for us and not against us
The Scripture clearly teaches that
But many people do not know that
So many people don’t know God

God wants your presence, wants your presence
Maybe you Him ignored so much
Maybe you got distracted, busy
He wants Your presence still today

Maybe You sinned and sinned so greatly
And now your conscience you condemns
In Christ- there is no condemnation
He wants your presence still today

God wants your presence, wants your presence
For you to lay aside all things
Be still and know He’s God, He’s for you
Be still and know that He is God

God wants your presence, wants Your presence
Not just your check-mark that you did
“I read the Bible, and I prayed too
Now I can just move on today”

God wants your presence, wants your presence
He will pour out His love for you
But you must come and taste His goodness
Do not ignore Him yet again

God wants your presence, He wants you
He proved His love for you, He showed it
When Jesus died, for you He died
Now you can come to God through Jesus

God wants your presence, don’t ignore Him
And do not say- “but later God”
He wants you- come- taste of His goodness
He wants you to just be with Him

God wants your presence and your love
He gave Himself for you- He’s love
Will you Him just ignore today
Or come to Him and be with Him

He is your love, He loves you greatly
He wants your heart and all of you
He desires love from all your being
He wants your presence and Your love

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” Matthew 22:37

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:31-32

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” Romans 8:1

“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8

“As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you: continue ye in My love” John 15:9

“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God” Ephesians 3:19

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth” Psalm 46:10

“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him” Psalm 34:8

  • God is for me and not against me. Thank you Father that You are for me and not against me. Thank You Jesus that You are for me and not against me. Thank You Holy Spirit that You are for me and not against me.
  • Thank You Father for delivering Jesus for us all and for freely giving us all things. Thank You for such love.
  • Thank You that there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ. Thank you that there is now no condemnation to me because I am in Christ. Thank You for not only forgiving me, but also for not condemning me. Thank You for Your righteousness that You gave me.
  • Thank You God for proving Your love for us and showing it to us- while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
  • Thank You Jesus that You have loved me as the Father has loved You, because I am Your disciple. Help me Holy Spirit to continue in the love of Jesus and to be rooted and grounded in the love of God.
  • Give me the grace to always love You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. I need Your grace to never leave You.
  • Help me to know more and more deeper every day the love of Christ, that I might be filled with all the fullness of God.
  • Help me to never leave my first love. But always seek You. Thank You that You want our presence. Help us to not neglect You in the business of life.

We Don’t Lose Love, We Leave It

Lessons from Revelation Chapter 2: Poem 1

So often I have heard this phrase
That our “first love” we should not ever lose
To Christ our hearts should fervently hold on
And things of earth should never our eyes daze

To lose first love- seems innocent, so pure
As if it’s not our fault we’re not with Him
As if love is that thing that disappears
When we are not so diligent with it

The Bible does not say, you “lost” first love
Love is not something that you lose, but leave
It says you “left” it, maybe not too quick
But gradually as slowly your eyes dimmed

We leave our love when to it we don’t cling
When we don’t love our Lord with all our heart
When other things we cherish, but not God
When we don’t care to spend our time with Him

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love” Revelation 2:4

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold” Matthew 24:12

“Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in Me, that they are gone far from Me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?” Jeremiah 2:5

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment” Mark 12:30

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9

“We love Him, because He first loved us.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

And this commandment have we from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also”

1 John 4:19-21

  • In this world, iniquity does about, and as a result the love of many shall get cold. But I pray that no matter how much iniquity abounds, my love will only increase and become as a flame for God.
  • It is only my sin that keeps me from You Father, my iniquity and my unbelief. Sometimes as a result I walked after vanity instead of loving You and living for You and Your Kingdom.
  • Thank You for forgiving me and cleansing me from all unrighteousness.
  • Thank You for forgiveness. Thank You that You forgave me for the many times I have neglected You and ignored Your still small voice and did my will and not Yours.
  • Thank You Jesus that because You first loved me, now I love You. But if I say I love You but hate my brother or sister, that means I am a liar and do not love You. Help me to always be consistent in my love for You and to always love others also.

The Exalted One

Lessons from Revelation Chapter 1- Poem 3

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 1:5-8

When He came the first time, He Self humbled
And became a baby, helpless, weak…
On the cross was crucified He also
And He died, but dead He did not stay

He’s the faithful witness, first begotten
He’s the prince of all the kings of earth
He is Alpha and Omega also
The beginning and the end He is

He was dead, and now forever lives
And alive He is forever more
And the keys of hell and death He has
He’s the One who is the great I am

When He came the first time, He self humbled
But now sits He high upon the throne
And His eyes are like a flame of fire
And His face- like sun shines with its strength

He’s above all principalities, all powers
Everything is now under His feet
And His Name is above all others
At the Name of Jesus- all will bow

Worship Him! And bow before His presence
Worship Him, repent, believe in Christ
If you Him reject you will still bow
And you will confess: That Christ is Lord!

“I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” Revelation 1:18

“And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Philippians 2:8-11

  • Thank you, Jesus, that You humbled Yourself, and was obedient unto death.
  • As the Scripture say, I believe You will come back and every eye will see You.
  • The Name of Jesus is above every name and at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow.
  • I choose to bow before Jesus every day.
  • Every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord, to the glory of God, the Father; and I confess now that Jesus Christ IS the LORD!

God Was Dead

Lessons from Revelation Chapter 1- Poem 2

To all of you who think: God’s dead
And cares not for His people
Just ponder, think, consider this:
There was a time when God was dead

You don’t believe? You question this?
I read this in the Scriptures
“I am that liveth” Jesus said
And I “was dead”, Christ said so

There was a time, believe in this
That Jesus came and laid aside
His glory, splendor, majesty
And He became a child

And God on earth among us dwelt
He came to save us people
Who of His glory come so short
For all have sinned; and Savior need

And when Christ was there on the cross
All sin was laid on Jesus
The Father poured His wrath on Christ
The Father did forsake Him

And all the wrath that God does have
Against all sin and wicked
Christ drank that cup of wrath from God
So we won’t have to face it

And Jesus bled, and God did die
It seemed all hope was lost now
But in three days, a victory!
Christ was and is still RISEN!

Christ is alive! He now still lives!
The keys of hell and death has He
Before Him, everyone will bow
He is the only Savior

God is not dead; He cares for you
He loves you too, believe this
His precious Blood for you was spilled
He wants to be your Savior

There was a time, when God was dead
For us He bleed for us He died
But now forevermore He lives
O do repent and trust Him!

“I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” Revelation 1:18

“That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but He that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil”

John 3: 15-19

  • Thank You Father for sending Jesus so that we might not perish and have everlasting life if we believe in Jesus.
  • Thank You Jesus that You came so that we might be saved and not condemned.
  • Father, I believe Your Word. Your Word is true: Those who do not believe are condemned already and those who believe in Christ are not condemned.
  • Father, THANK YOU for sending Jesus and for providing us a way to be saved and to not be condemned and to not perish
  • Thank You that whosoever will believe in Christ will not perish but have eternal life

When John Sees Jesus in Glory

Lessons from Revelation Chapter 1- Poem 1

“Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved” John 13:23 KJV

“And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; Revelation 1:17-19 KJV

John the disciple walked with Jesus
Upon Christ’s bosom John did lean
Jesus looked common- was a human
His great, great glory was concealed

But when John saw Jesus in Heaven
So very high and lifted up
He fell, he fell, at feet of Jesus
He fell -as if he dead became

The Son of Man- the God Almighty
Dressed in a robe reaching His feet
And with a golden girt around Him
His head and hair- were white like wool

His eyes- His eyes were flame of fire
Those eyes can pierce into each being
No creature from His eyes is hidden
But all are naked and exposed

His feet- like fine brass burned in furnace
His voice as sound of many waters
In His right hand- He seven stars held
Out of His mouth- came two-edged sword

And as the sun shines in its strength
His face does shine so full of glory
And when John saw Him… he just fell
But Jesus told him- Do not fear

I am the first and I’m the last
And I am He that lives, lives always
And I was dead. I died, but see:
I am alive, alive forever

I have the keys of hell and death
And you must write the things you’ve seen
And things that will be happening shortly
All of those things, write, make them known

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8 NKJV

“For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account” Hebrews 4:12-13 NKJV

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” Hebrews 4:16 NKJV

  • You Lord are Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End; You was, is and is to come, the Almighty. I believe You, trust You and worship You Jesus.
  • Jesus You live for evermore and You alone have the keys of hell and death.
  • Jesus You are the Word of God. And the Word of God is living and powerful. It is sharper than any two-edged sword and it pierces to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
  • No one is hidden from Your sight Jesus. All things are naked and open to Your eyes and we will all give an account to You Jesus.
  • Thank You Jesus for Your Blood that You shed. It is because of Your Blood that we can come boldly to Your throne of grace! Thank You for this privilege and help us to never neglect coming to Your throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace and help in time of need.
