Goodness is a Person

 Taste and see that the Lord is good
 Taste and see- don’t ignore Him
 Jesus said- He’s the Bread of life
 Taste this Bread- receive life
  
 Taste and see that the Lord is good
 The sun rises on good and the evil
 The rain falls on both good and bad
 But not everyone tastes God’s goodness
  
 Taste and see that the Lord is good
 Salvation provided for people
 He freely it offers- for He paid the price
 But you must receive and taste it
  
 Taste and see that the Lord is good
 Do not just agree and say you believe
 By faith receive and taste this Truth
 And you will see, taste His goodness
  
 Taste and see that the Lord is good
 The Bread of Life- is Jesus
 And those who Him eat- they have life
 And taste they of His great goodness
  
 Lord teach me to eat the Bread of Life
 To live my life by Jesus
 To taste of Your goodness, and see- You’re good
 Lord teach me to taste Your goodness
  
 Lord open our spiritual eyes to this:
 That Goodness is You- Lord Jesus
 And teach us to feast on You alone
 And taste of Your goodness always
  
 Our spirit, our soul, it will never rest
 Until it has tasted Jesus
 Lord open our eyes, to see this truth 
 That goodness is You Lord Jesus

“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him” Psalm 34:8

“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst” John 6:35

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life” John 6:47-48

“I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world” John 6:51

“Whoso eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He that eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, dwelleth in Me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent Me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth Me, even he shall live by Me.  This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever”  John 6:54-57

“He who keeps on eating My flesh and drinking My blood, in Me is continually abiding and I in him. Even as the living Father sent Me on a mission, and I live because of the Father, likewise he who is eating Me, that one shall also live because of Me” (Wuest Expanded Translation)

“After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward” Genesis 15:1

  • I have tasted and I have seen that You Lord are Good. Father, You are good. Jesus are good. Holy Spirit You are good.
  • I will never hunger and thirst for salvation- for I came to You and You gave me salvation. Thank You for that.
  • Thank You that I have everlasting life, because I have believed in You Jesus and You are that bread of life.
  • Jesus You are the living bread that came from heaven. Teach me how to deny myself and anything else that I think might satisfy me, and satisfy myself only in You Jesus.
  • Teach me to keep on feasting on You Jesus, to keep on eating of Your life.
  • I have life only because of You Jesus and live because of You.  
  • Help me to not be satisfied in that I have tasted Your goodness before, but to taste and see Your goodness every day.
  • You Lord, are my reward. You are my goodness. I do not want to just seek rewards or goodness from You. I want You. You Jesus are my exceeding great reward. With You I have everything; Without You I have nothing.

Teach Me How to Taste Your Goodness

 Teach me how to taste Your goodness
 For You Lord- are always good
 But I this have doubted often
 I Your goodness- doubted much
  
 Teach me how to taste Your goodness
 Even when life is so hard
 Even when I face great sorrow 
 Of Your sufferings partake
  
 Teach me how to taste Your goodness
 Double-minded not to be
 To believe- be single minded
 That You, Lord, are always good
  
 Teach me how to taste Your goodness
 Taste it daily- not just once
 For Your goodness- it me follows
 It me follows everyday
  
 Teach me how to taste Your goodness
 Taste it often- resist not
 To not stand- just look at goodness
 But receive it and it taste
  
 Teach me how to taste Your goodness
 Taste it often- to believe
 Lay aside my self-will, pride
 And with humbleness, taste goodness
  
 Teach me how to taste Your goodness
 With humility it taste
 To taste goodness and to praise You
 For You Lord are always good!

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways” James 1:8

“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him” Psalm 34:8

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever” Psalm 23:6

“For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake” Philippians 1:29 

“Because Thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee. Thus will I bless Thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in Thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise Thee with joyful lips: When I remember Thee upon my bed, and meditate on Thee in the night watches” Psalm 63:3-6

  • Lord, help me to not be double minded- to say I believe that You are good, and doubt Your goodness when things are difficult.
  • Teach me to daily taste and see that You are good. I am blessed because I trust in You.
  • Thank You that You give me the privilege, to not only believe in You, but also suffer for Your Name. Teach me to taste Your goodness when I am suffering for Your sake.
  • Father, You are good and Your loving-kindness is better than life, my lips praise You. As I live I bless You. Teach me to bless You always- no matter the circumstances.
  • I lift my hands to You, and bless You. I am satisfied by You. My mouth will praise You joyfully when I think about Your goodness.
  • When troubles and trials come, teach me to taste Your goodness in midst of the problems and trials.
  • Thank You that Your goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life- because You Lord are my Shepherd. Thank You that Your goodness and mercy follow me today because today is one of the days of my life.
  • Teach me to taste Your goodness and not neglect it or ignore it. I cannot taste Your goodness if my eyes are on the problem or on the trial. Teach me and help me to always look at Jesus and taste of Your goodness.

God is Good

 We like to say that God is good
 When He helps us in trouble
 When we succeed, when things are good
 When mercy we are given
  
 We like to say that God is good
 When we are given blessings
 When unexpected grace we get
 Though we deserve not blessings
  
 But God is good, even when we
 Are faced with trouble, hardships
 When things just fall apart of us
 When we don’t see His blessings
  
 He’s good, in sickness and in death
 He’s good in pain and distress
 He’s good in midst of sorrow, mess
 He’s always good, and knows what’s best
  
 He’s good- we can place trust in Him
 He knows all them that trust in Him
 He is the stronghold we can trust
 In Him we refuge still can have
  
 He’s good; and sorrow is a test
 Will we believe, still worship?
 And if a father loves his child
 O how much more God loves us!
  
 If you today forgot: He’s good
 If trouble overwhelms you
 If you are scared to come to Him
 If your own sin condemns you
  
 You still today, can come to God
 But only through Lord Jesus 
 He was so good to us and died
 And paid for our redemption
  
 We don’t deserve God’s goodness, grace
 We don’t deserve salvation
 But God is good, He still loves us
 He offers us redemption
  
 O come to Christ, for He is good
 He loves you friend, He loves You, 
 In Him, the wearied soul finds rest
 -And Christ is still the answer

“The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him” Nahum 1:7

“Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will He teach sinners in the way” Psalm 25:8

“Thou art good, and doest good; teach me Thy statutes” Psalm 119:68

“For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations” Psalm 100:5

“The LORD is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him” Lamentations 3:25

“Or despisest thou the riches of His goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” Romans 2:4

  • Thank You Father, that You are good and You are the strong hold in the day of trouble.
  • Thank You that You know them that trust in You.
  • Lord, You are good and upright and You teach sinners the way.
  • You are good and You do good; Teach me Your statutes.
  • Thank You that You are good and Your mercy is everlasting. Your truth endures to all generations.
  • Thank You that You are good to them that wait for You, to the soul that seeks You.
  • Thank You for forgiving me the many times I doubted Your goodness, and looked at my problems and circumstances instead of You.
  • Help me to not be double minded- to believe You are good and then doubt Your goodness when times are difficult.
  • Thank You for Your goodness and for Your forbearance and long-suffering. Thank You that it is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance.

Knowing Who God is

 So many of us in life’s journey
 As problems and trials crushed us
 We often developed a mindset
 Of wrong understanding of God
  
 We measured God’s love by our circumstances
 Instead of believing His Word
 That He has us loved and greatly
 That He laid His life for us
  
 We measured God’s faithfulness also
 By prayers not answered still
 Instead of believing always
 His Word and what’s written there 
  
 We questioned Him often harshly
 Why does He not bless me much?
 And get rid of this, that problem
 And help me in this or that? 
  
 We fell into trap of Satan
 He wants us to blame God much
 When Satan so often attacks 
 And often we reap what we sowed
  
 Our service- that is most reasonable
 Is to present “us” to God
 Present to Him our own body
 Acceptable, holy to God 
  
 And yet we so often choose to
 Our life just to live for self
 And then we have wondered often
 Why our life is empty still
  
 But God- He is love; Love always
 And He never changed at all
 Although we were yet still sinners
 Christ came, and He died for us
  
 In our heads- we have built mindsets
 Of wrong understanding of God
 But I pray in Name of Jesus 
 These wrong understandings be gone!
  
 Lord open ours eyes to see You
 To see You for who You are
 That our understanding of You
 Would line up with Your Word God 
  
 That we would believe and trust You
 That we would believe Your Word
 Not measure Your love by our circumstances
 But simply believe what You said
  
 That we would repent before You
 Let go of our ways, follow You
 -That we would God know, walk with Him
 And know How much He us loves
  
 O friend, He is real, He’s faithful
 He loves you so much, this believe
 He wants you to know Him personally
 He wants you to trust Him, obey

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16

 “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Rom 5:8

“But God has made clear His love to us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ gave His life for us” Rom 5:8 (BBE)

 “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” 1 John 4:8-10 

“And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent” John 17:3 

  • Thank You Father, that You have so loved the world that You gave Your Son Jesus for us.
  • Thank You that I will not perish, for I have everlasting life because I believe in Christ.
  • Knowing God is eternal life. Thank You that the moment I was born again, You gave me life eternal.
  • Thank You Jesus for giving Your life for me. Jesus You proved Your love for me by dying for me, by giving Your life for me.
  • I do not need any other proof of Your love- because You proved Your love for me, but thank You that You continue to show Your love for me in so many other ways.
  • Thank You God, that You are love. Thank You for loving me.
