Thirty-five years I’ve lived upon this earth
Year thirty-four: it seemed to be the hardest
And I faced storms I didn’t think I’ll face
I was knocked down, and almost drowned in sorrow
But what is future if there is no hope?
And what are dreams if you just let them go?
What is endurance- if you can’t hold on?
What’s perseverance- if you just give up?
And in my darkest hours I cried out
“Lord give me eyes to see You through the Word
For pain is deep, and now I dimly see
I see You through my pain and not Your Word
This pain, You see, it dimes my eyes to You
I see it more, then Goodness of the Lord.
I know You’re Good and Faithful, God of Hope
But this is not how I You see right now
Lord give me eyes to see You through the Word ”
And grace sufficiently You gave to me
Grace upon grace, abundance of God’s grace
You gave me grace and hope and mercy, love
I would have heart lost, but I have believed
That I will see the goodness of the Lord
And goodness I did see, and grace and mercy!
He did not leave me, always He was with me
It was God’s love that reached down, picked me up
It was His love, that gave me hope again
It was His love that healed my broken heart
And bound the wounds I didn’t think could heal
His plans for me are good- future and hope
All weapons formed against me- prosper won’t
I won’t be separated from God’s love
God is for me; against me He is not
And when I pass through waters- He is with me
And when I walk through fire I won’t be burned
He comforts me and tells me not to fear
And He will never leave me or forsake me
And when I did remember things of old
The sorrow and the failures, pain and tears
“Remember not the former things” He said
“A new thing I will do, it will spring forth”
A path through sea He makes, a path of hope!
And rivers in the desert for me too!
He has redeemed me, called me by my name!
And I am His, beloved, accepted, favored!
What can I say? I want to thank the Lord!
God proved Himself as always faithful, good!
And all my life I want to walk with Him
And worship Him and let Him shine through me!
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” Isa 43:2
“”I am the LORD, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King.” Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters” Isaiah 43:15-16
“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert” Isaiah 43:18-19
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17
